RAPESEED
By-product of oil manufacture obtained by expelling and/or extraction of seeds of rape. (Minimum botanical purity 94%)
Rape is a Brassica grown for its ‘soft oil’ which is high in polyunsaturates. It is often grown as a break crop. Recently it has been grown as an industrial crop for ‘environmentally friendly’ fuel oils. The oil is expelled from the seed, with further solvent extraction used to lower the oil level of the final meal.
Rapeseed meal is having a extremely good amino acid composition, often compared to the milk protein, contributes to it is high nutritive value. The amino acid profile showing adequate lysine and methionine is very much favorable to the non-recruitment poultry feed.
